While investigating the murder of Mark McCormick in
order to clear his name, Mason is presumed dead after
the church he's residing at burns to the ground. When a
witness comes forward to say that she saw Mason
leaving the location alive, his family and lover wonders
where he is, and why doesn't he come home. His father
posts a large reward for anyone who can bring his son
home. Gina and Keith just beat out Julia and Father
Micheal in finding Mason in Las Vegas. Suffering from
amnesia, he has taken on the personality of his
childhood invisible friend, Sonny Sprockett. The scene
below is how the Timmons find him in a country
western bar singing. They plan to take him back to
Santa Barbara and collect the reward money.

After leaving Sonny/Mason standing at the alter, Julia
continues to worry and ponder about what's wrong with
Mason. In this scene she follows a tip to a country
western bar where she finds Mason uncharacteristically
singing up on stage. She's bewildered.
