It's the Russian-American project, the script is in
Russian and in English languages, and the main
thing - the real Hollywood stars in leading roles.
To winning Eric Roberts or Gary Busey for an
American tv-series isn't too easy, and for
Russian one - especially. The very important
role in all negotiations was played by wife of
Rodion Nahapetov, it is Natasha Shilapnikoff -
the producer of this great project.
Here is the favorite of Russian viewers - the
well-known Mason from "Santa-Barbara". He is
actor Lane Davies. He sure knows about how he
is popular for us. He visited Russia and
pleasurably agreed to be filmed in the Russian
project. His character will be appearing in each
of all twelve episodes.
L.D. My character an interesting guy. He is sort
of an unprofessional cop. Anyway, he has not a
standard detective look. It is because before
shootings I was busy at once in two
performances: I played Claudius in "Hamlet"
and Oberon in " A Midsummer Night's Dream "
therefore I needed long hair and the beard and
then already I have no time for cutting my hair.
Usually a cop need be shaved of course. Also
my character unusually acting... And he is friend
of Russian - Andrey Somov, who was played
Rodion. All of us turns out rather the peculiar
team: my character, police officer McMillan ...
and Somov.
