I nominate the writers of SANTA BARBARA for
Outstanding Villains/Villainesses in a Daytime
Serial for their role in bumping off Mary. I’d also
like to enlist the services of Julia (Mason is too
distraught) in a suit against these despoilers of
happiness. I seek redress for alienation of
affection and deep mental anguish. They can
settle out of court by making the whole episode
just a horrible nightmare from which Mason can
awaken. N.T., Walanae, HI

The SANTA BARBARA writers completely
ruined the week of July 14 – the week of Mary’s
death. What runs through their minds when
they take a perfectly good character and
destroy her? She was super and I was on the
edge of my seat during every scene she had
with Mason. I hope the writers will be kind and
grant her a reprieve. Didn’t anyone think it was
just a little strange that of her many friends,
only her rapist husband, his attorney and C.C.
showed up to pay their respects? Am I the only
one who thinks things were rushed? They didn’
t even tell the nuns! If this is going to be a
pattern with SB, I’d rather save myself the
disappointment and not watch at all. I can’t
handle another tearjerker death scene. Have a
heart, SANTA BARBARA. Bring Mary back!
Remember, the only person who saw her body
when it was taken to the hospital was Mark. He
was obsessed with her and would do anything
to have her to himself…hint, hint. C.J.,
