Mason: All right. I lend you $50,000 at 10 percent interest. That’s it. Take it or leave it. I don’t have a minute
more to discuss this.

Peter: 75.

Mason: Have a nice day, Peter. (Starts to walk away).

Peter: All right, Mason. I’ll take it.

Mason: Good. I’ll have the papers drawn up tomorrow morning. Now tell just what it is that I bought, Peter. It
better be good.

Peter: Oh, just a little piece of information that you might be able to use in the future.

Mason: Which is?

Peter: Which is, that your father arranged for Gina and Stockman to secretly adopt Brandon. Oh, they went
outside the ordinary channels, Mason. I wonder where the child came from? I wonder who’s it is? I wonder why
your father is so interested in him, and why he wants to maintain secrecy about his whole involvement? Maybe
you should have a blood test from the kid. Find out.
