My Wandering Sister Is Home

Time: The day after C.C.'s birthday party.
Setting: At the Capwell Mansion
Characters: Mason and Eden
Premise: Mason comes home drunk just as Eden was getting ready to go out. They meet
at the front door.
Eden: What?
Mason: To find you waiting patiently for me to come home.
Eden: (Joking) Sure, absolutely, you know I stand here for hours, waiting for a glimpse of the rising
Mason Capwell.
Mason: (Laughs) I’m glad my wandering sister has finally come home. You’re the only one here
who understands my sense of humor.
Eden: Oh, were you joking?
Mason: (Laughs again and comes inside) Let’s go inside, get a good bottle of wine and settle in for
a nice gossip like old times.
Eden: Ah, no, I can’t, Mason. I have someplace I have to go.
Mason: (Disappointed) Oh, can’t you get out of it.
Eden: No, I can’t.
Mason: I want to find out what you think about dad’s new girlfriend.
Eden: Well I can tell how I think about Santana right now. We don’t get along. I don’t like her.
Mason: Yes, I seem to recall a little girlish animosity between the two of you in years past. I
thought maybe you’d outgrown that.
Eden: Well Mason, my teddy bear and my girlish animosity are something I’ll never grow out of.
See you later, I got to go.
Mason: Eden.
Eden: Yes.
Mason: What if he marries her?
Eden: Well, Mason, I guess we’ll just have to cross that stepmother when we get to her, huh.
