Strolling Margarita Drinkers
Video Clip: Strolling Margarita Drinkers
Time: Later in the evening after Peter has left the mansion.

Setting: At La Mesa, the Mexican restaurant everyone hangs
out in.

Characters: Mason and Lionel.

Premise: Lionel is seated at a table studying a menu when
Mason walks up holding a glass in his hand.
Mason: Well, I thought I recognized you.

Lionel: (Amused) They used to have Mariachi players here, now they have strolling Margarita
drinkers, huh?

Mason: Thank you, I believe I will sit down. (He takes a seat across the table from Lionel.)

Lionel: (Annoyed) What do you what?

Mason: Well, it's just a technicality Lionel but the deed to the Cuzoni beachfront property
hasn't been delivered to me or to the Cuzoni Foundation.

Lionel: (Dismissive) Speak to my attorney.
Mason: Well I tried that. It's not easy. First he hadn't come in, then he
had come in but then gone back out for lunch. I finally caught him in
between ambulance chases, like his client, he knew nothing, of the
deed that is. It seems that you were supposed to send the deed to
him so that he could forward it on to me.

Lionel: It must have slipped my mind. I'll check on it.
Mason: I think that I should warn you Lionel, since I know you're not conversant of law, that if
you try to get away with delaying tactics you can be hauled into court, and let me assure you if
you can be, you will be.

Lionel: Hmm. Can I tell you something about yourself, Mason?

Mason: By no means.

Lionel: You are a lonely, driven, sad, young man who lived all his life in the shadow of his
father. Now, C.C. Capwell does cast a big shadow, a big, dark, icy shadow.
Mason: Well, in that case let me volunteer that I
consider you a wasted, dissipated, useless drone, a
blithe on society and his own family. You're an
intellectual poseur and a professional joke. Shall I go
on? I can.
Lionel: Some people would consider it statistically unwise to offend a man who has
something on him as I do on you.

Mason: (Feigns boredom) I assume you're referring to the tape recording?

Lionel: I'm looking forward to playing it for C.C. It should cause a great deal of dissention.

Mason: Go right ahead. It's a useless gesture. It won't get you your property back, will it?

Lionel: It will give me a great deal of personal satisfaction.

Mason: Now you're being childish, Lionel. You were outsmarted in the property auction and
now you're trying to retaliate. Goes to show how petty you really are.

Lionel: On the contrary. I'm being honorable. I promised you that I would play that tape to
C.C. Capwell on his birthday if you outbid me. I'm simply keeping my promise. I'll promise you
something else. Someday you'll come asking me for help.

Mason: Very doubtful.

Lionel: Oh, no, you will. Correction, come begging me for help, begging me not to destroy
you. Mark my words, Mason. It's just a matter of time.
