I'm Used to Getting My Own Way
Video Clip: I'm Used To Getting My Own Way
Setting: At the Capwell Mansion.

Characters: Mason, Peter, Philip (The butler), Veronica, Augusta, and Lionel.

Premise: Peter was successful in finding out from Augusta where the deeds and
paperwork on the Lockridge properties are kept. Mason had his men serve a search
warrant of their home and got a good look at the information. From that, Mason determined
that the beachfront property doesn't legally belong to the Lockridges due to some
technicalities. It should go up for auction, and Mason intends to obtain the land that way. In
the meantime, he invites Veronica Gaylord over to spend the evening with him. Veronica
recently won a position with Capwell Enterprises as Peter's secretary. Mason wants to
keep close tabs on Peter so he is trying to seduce his secretary. However, she's actually a
very good friend of Lionel's who had saved her brother's life during one of his adventures.
She feels indebted to Lionel, and as payment Lionel has convinced her to become a mole
in the Capwell's circle.

(The Phone Rings and Mason answer it.)

Mason: Hello. Peter! The heir apparent.

Peter: Is Kelly there?

Mason: Listen Peter, I got to talk to you.

Peter: Later Mason, I want to talk to Kelly.

Mason: No, hold on, now I'm not used to being denied things, Peter, especially by someone trying
to win a position in my family.

Peter: Mason, look, I called for Kelly.

Mason: I wanted the presidential suite for tonight. It's one of the perks and I've grown accustomed
to having it.

Peter: Mason, I told you it's being repaired. It's uninhabitable, so sorry to disappoint you.

Mason: Sure you are. (Hangs up on Peter).

Philip: You wanted to see me, sir?

Mason: Ah, Philip, I just wanted to make sure you had released Rosa and the others for the evening.

Philip: Yes, sir. They've just left. You won't be disturbed.

Mason: Good. And Philip...

Philip: Yes.

Mason: Why don't you take the evening off yourself?

Philip: Oh, that's not necessary, sir. I can stay out of sight.

Mason: No, no, no, I won't be needing you and you deserve an evening off. Take it.

Philip: Thank you, sir. I appreciate that.

Mason: Have a lovely evening, Philip.

Philip: You too, sir.

Mason: I plan to.

(
Turns the corner to where a blond woman is sitting down in the atrium)

Mason: There you are. My, you look delicious.

Veronica: So, we'll be alone tonight?

Mason: Well, didn't I promise we would have the run of my father's humble hostelry?

Veronica: The run of it. That means I'll be running?

Mason: Running until you catch me, Veronica.

Veronica: Oh, I see. Well, I'm used to being chased myself.

Mason: And I'm used to getting my own way.

Veronica: I'm sure you are.

Mason: Champagne?

Veronica: (Nods)
