Red Flags
Video Clip: Red Flags (The Night Shift)
Setting: In the waiting area outside of Santana's hospital room.

Characters: Mason and Peter

Premise: C.C. in his helicopter has located and rescued Santana. She is staying at the
hospital and receiving visitors.

Mason:
(As Kelly and Peter show up) The night shift has arrived.

Peter: How's she doing? All right?

Mason: Well, she's tired, but I think she's feeling pretty lucky.

Kelly: Well, she is lucky. (To Peter), Come on, let's go in and say hello.

Peter: Okay.

Mason: Stay and talk with me a minute. Will you, Peter?

Kelly: I'm going in. (Goes into Santana's room leaving Peter with Mason).

Peter: What's up?

Mason: I need your help.

Peter: Oh! I'm flattered.

Mason: Good.

Peter: The Capwells have been good to me, it's time I repaid the favor.

Mason: Well, I'm glad you feel that way, Peter.

Peter: In fact, it's something of an accomplishment to be in a position to help a Capwell.

Mason: Well, consider yourself accomplished.

Peter: All right.

Mason: I need some paperwork.

Peter: Okay.

Mason: Some information that that Lockridges probably have in their possession.

Peter: Oh?

Mason: Yeah, I'm interested in the large parcel of beach property that they own. I've been going
through some documents and frankly there are some, red flags, some legal questions that haven't
been properly answered. If you know what I mean?

Peter: Well, I'm not an expert on anything that's technically legal, Mason. Are you sure you have
the right guy?

Mason: Oh, I think you'll do for what I have in mind. Augusta Lockridge and Peter Flint, now their
two names go way back. They go all the way back, oh, I'd say, to when Warren Lockridge was a
student of yours at Lymen Prep School
.

Peter:
Augusta and I knew each other.

Mason: Hmm, knew each other better, and more often, biblically speaking, than what you would
like revealed. Am I right? Never mind. The point is, Peter, that I need papers and information that
you have access to.

Peter: I'm not a thief. I'm not going to spy if that's what you're getting at, Mason.

Mason: I think you best try to cooperate, Peter. You've been living a rather plush and easy lifestyle
of late. You drive a Capwell car. You have money to dress well and feather your nest in a variety of
ways. You may become a member of the family. So, um, you best make an effort to help. This
information is very important to the Capwells. It's an essential if not crucial issue to the family. So
don't blow it. My father will be very grateful if it all works out.

Peter: So, does C.C. know you're doing this, Mason?

Mason: No, no, it's a surprise for him, from me to him. Let me make that clear, Peter. Even though
I'm asking for your help, the surprise-well, I prefer to think of it as a gift, is from me, not you, to him.

Peter: So, you want to hog all the credit, huh?

Mason: This is what you're going to do for me. At the very least you will find out where the deeds
and escrow papers pertaining to the beachfront property are located. Are they in their home? Are
they in a bank vault? You will find out where they keep the papers, Peter. You do that for me or you
can forget about marrying Kelly.
