Characters: Mason and Kelly
Premise: Santana went horseback riding hours ago and hasn't returned. There is a search
party looking for. (Her and her horse had taken a terrible fall and she is lying unconscious in
an unpopulated area, later she wakes up but can't walk because of a strained ankle). Cruz is
active in the search, while Mason is home getting drunk.
Kelly: I thought Channing was the one who always admired Santana.
Mason: Well, she had many admirers. I had been one for years.
Kelly: And has she returned this admiration?
Mason: No, I don't know, actually. She is also inscrutable, and Cruz Castillo doesn't help.
Kelly: Help what?
Mason: Well, I think he's a bad influence on her. I think he see himself as some sort of latter day
Robin Hood. You know, he dashes in, solves a few crises, saves the damsel in distress, and then
does his best to sneer at the rich.
Kelly: Mason, he's just very concerned for her.
Mason: I think he wants to put another notch in his bow.
Kelly: They have been friends ever since they were children.
Mason: You know, that big brother act wears thin pretty fast. All you have to do is see the way they
look at each other. You can almost feel the air quiver. Didn't Robin Hood carry a quiver?
Kelly: Yeah, I think he did, and I also think you had too much to drink.
Mason: Could be. And what about you, little sister? You found the man of your dreams?
Kelly: Yeah, I think so.
Mason: Think?
Kelly: Peter is a wonderful person.
Mason: Well, he better be more than that. If he's not perfect, I'll run him out of the family.
Kelly: (Laughs). Well, I'll tell him that.
Mason: Do. I think your man, Flint, has ambitions.
Kelly: Is there anything wrong with that?
Mason: We shall see.
Kelly: Mason, he really loves me.
Mason: Yeah, well at least Joe Perkins is out of your life. That was a disaster from day one. At least
Peter's better than that.
Kelly: You know, I don't think you know how really rude you are some times (Walks away).
